Subject Location Uniqueness Objective
Collocation Objective
Cribbed from Elaine Svenonius. Probably the more standard usage
from the library field.

I have done some searching but all the map metaphors use location
or something similar (Subject Loci Uniqueness Objective? Perhaps
something in Hebrew? ;-) all the alternatives are worse). I guess my
primary uncertainly is not that SLUO lacks precision (Sam, as in
Hunting), or abstraction (Steve, as in Newcomb), as compared to the
alternatives but it hardly rolls off the tongue. Purely a subjective
judgment but I wish there was an catchy alternative that performed all
the things that the term SLUO does.
On the other hand, perhaps it is a phrase that will make people realize
it is what they want from an information system but have never had.
Well, at least after they are told what it means. ;-)
I'll try writing it 100 times tonight and see if I feel more comfortable
in the morning. ;-)
