[sc34wg3] Semicolon or not semicolon

Hi all,

While writing this

I wondered if we cannot make the semicolon optional.
In fact, the semicolon makes technically no sense, but if someone
wants to write a semicolon everywhere, we could allow it.

I assume in the following example that "{" "}" for topic blocks is
replaced by the period ".":

         paul - "Paul McCartney"
           isa person;
           isa musician
           works-for(The-Beatles)
           works-for(The-Wings);
           homepage: http://www...
         .

The colon for occurrences has to be normative, though.
         
Is that an acceptable compromise?
