Greetings,

2. Clarity on proxies being members of both isa (instance of) and sub
(subcass of) relationships.

The current TMRM draft (under 4. Ontological Commitments (second
paragraph) states in part:

***
Two types of relationships, isa (instance of) and sub (subclass of), are
defined by this Standard.
Both are binary predicates over proxies, so that two given proxies are
either in one of the above
types of relationships, or not.
***

The second sentence appears to the editors to be unclear. The intent was
to allow two subject proxies to be members of isa and sub type
relationships at the same time, or to allow subject proxies to be a
member of one or the other, or to be members of neither one.

Therefore, the editors propose the following language to be substituted
for the second sentence above:

"Both are binary predicates over proxies. Any two given proxies may be
in either one or both of the above types of relationships, or not."

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Patrick
